Holy Grail Found!
It's a 1936 Royal Model O and it's mine. MINE, do you hear me?!? Works, too. It's obvious that I'm not going to run out of things to write about any time soon in this blog, so STAY TUNED. I'll be back soon.
Those are beautiful, I admit. But I think I'm halting my purchases for the time being. Not just because I'm still hoping to move (not much luck on that lately), but because it seems that anything else would be a disappointment. This really was the typewriter I've wanted for a long time, and I feel temporarily complete and content. I know these things pass, though.
Shiny! you know, next week you'll see an 'O' in 'De Luxe' markup, and then want that too!

DeleteThat's great! And don't the paint jobs last well - they almost glow when they are nicely polished. Certainly in my top 10 pre-WW2 machines to type on.
ReplyDeleteCongratz!
ReplyDeleteI have one and I love it! Great find!
